Common questions
How do I get started?
Add your dog (a photo is optional), choose a daily playtime goal, then tap Let's Play! when you start playing and Finish Playtime when you're done. You can also add a session you forgot to time in History › + Add session.
How do I restore my Premium subscription?
Open Settings › PlayPup Premium and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to subscribe.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions › PlayPup › Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › PlayPup › Cancel.
Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or period ends to avoid being charged.
Is my information private?
Yes. PlayPup has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your dogs, photos and play sessions are stored only on your phone. See our Privacy Policy.
What happens to my data if I delete the app or get a new phone?
Because everything stays on your phone, deleting PlayPup deletes its data, and we can't recover it. Whether your PlayPup data moves to a new phone depends on your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google backup).
Will my older sessions disappear if I don't have Premium?
No. Every session is safely saved. The free version shows your last 7 days; Premium unlocks your complete history, back to your very first session.
My reminders aren't arriving. What should I check?
Make sure the reminder is turned on in Settings › Reminders, and that notifications are allowed for PlayPup in your phone's settings. Streak nudges arrive at 7:00 PM on a day you haven't played yet while you have a streak going.
How do streaks and goal days work?
Your streak is the number of days in a row you've played. It stays alive until the end of today, so you have all day to keep it going. A goal day is a day where your playtime reached your daily goal; it shows in gold on the History calendar.
