Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and ShaSum Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”) about your use of the PlayPup app (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Using PlayPup

We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, except where the law allows it.

2. PlayPup Premium subscriptions

• Plans. PlayPup is free to use. PlayPup Premium is an optional subscription, available monthly or yearly, at the prices shown in the app. Both plans include the same features.
• Free trial. Eligible new subscribers may get a 14-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you're charged for the plan you chose.
• Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account.
• Cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. If you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests are handled under their policies.
• Your data. Premium unlocks viewing your full history, all chart ranges, personal records and all-time stats. Information you record is never deleted when a trial or subscription ends; older entries simply become viewable only with Premium again.

3. Your information

Everything you enter is stored on your phone, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't keep a copy, so we can't recover data if your phone is lost or the app is deleted. You're responsible for your device and its backups.

4. Not veterinary advice

PlayPup helps you track playtime. It doesn't provide veterinary, health or training advice. Goals, streaks and reminders are for motivation only. Every dog is different: talk to your veterinarian about the right amount and type of exercise, especially for puppies, older dogs and dogs with health conditions, and stop playing if your dog shows signs of pain, overheating or exhaustion.

5. Our content

The app, its design, artwork, logos and the PlayPup name belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms don't give you any rights to them except to use the app as described here.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be error-free or always available, or that data will never be lost.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app or Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

8. Changes and ending these Terms

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. If we make important changes, we'll update this page and the effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new Terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.

9. Apple and Google

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app or its content, and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
